Kelly Emerton, PHD

Tricuspid Therapies Research and Development Division, Medtronic

Kelly is Senior Director of the Tricuspid Therapies Research and Development division of Medtronic. She previously ran the US Aortic Stent Graft division of CryoLife, Inc., where she oversaw the development of endovascular stent graft technologies in the US market.

Prior to that, she was Senior Director of Medical Devices Product Development at Cleveland Clinic, where she started several spin-off companies in the cardiovascular arena, including Enhale Medical, Inc., for which she then served as Chief Operating Officer. Before that, she led Medtronic’s endovascular therapies division’s thoracic pipeline portfolio product development. Kelly sits on Case Western Reserve University’s Technology Validation Start-up Fund Program committee and the Medical/Scientific Advisory Board for RedCrow Medical Investments. Kelly holds a master’s degree in philosophy and biomedical engineering from The City College of New York, a PhD in biomedical engineering and orthopaedics from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a PhD in biomedical engineering and orthopaedics from the Graduate Center, City University of New York.
